The tickings are specially fashioned to hold large amounts of down and to allow the down to reach its maximum loft.

Batiste Fabric

If the beauty of sleeping under down is "warmth without weight," then surely our Batiste Baffled Box fits that description. It is made with fabric that is considered the lightest weight downproof ticking in the world. Indeed, the fabric alone weighs one-third less than traditional downproof fabrics. It is woven in Germany from tightly twisted cotton yarns that have been spun and mercerized in Switzerland. The Batiste Baffled Box in our Florida and Southern Light weights is perfect for those who do not want the feeling of weight on top of them while sleeping. In the heavier weight comforters, the fabric's unique lightness allows the down to reach its maximum loft.  Choose from our 650 fill Hungarian white goose down or our Live Harvested 750 fill white goose down. Available in white and in the sizes shown below. Custom sizes available upon request. Be sure to use with a light weight duvet cover for the greatest enjoyment! This is one of the lightest down proof fabrics available anywhere in the world. It adds very little weight while sleeping, and is ideal for our Florida and Southern Light comforters. A light weight cotton or silk duvet cover is recommended for fullest enjoyment. It is cool and crisp to the touch and provides a light and airy feel. Egyptian cotton. 308 tc. Fabric weight 85 gm/M2.

Classic Fabric

This light weight European twill weave and smooth finish should not belie the essential nature of this classic down proof fabric. It is one of the most densely woven and durable tickings available, capable of providing many years of comfort, enjoyment and use. The sateen finish gives it a shimmering appearance. Egyptian cotton. 300 tc. Fabric weight 115 gm/M2.
