Infant / Child Use Warning
Infant / Child Use Warning
Infants should not be permitted to sleep or otherwise be left unattended with any comforter or featherbed due to the risk of suffocation. Down comforters can also lead to overheating, which has been shown to have a correlation to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Never place any down product, including any comforter or pillow, in an infant's crib. If the fabric tears and the down escapes it can easily block the infant's air passages and cause choking and suffocation. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that infants be placed to sleep on their backs.
Also, please remove and discard the plastic bag your new comforter, pillow, or featherbed was shipped in, as this bag could be a suffocation hazard for infants and children.
